Howlong Preschool provides a fun and nurturing environment where children feel safe and supported. Our program focuses on quality education where play based learning forms the foundation and provides a variety of opportunities and meaningful learning experiences, guided by the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework V2.

Our curriculum implements Belonging, Being and Becoming – The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia Version 2. Working in partnership with families, educators use the following Learning Outcomes to guide their planning for children's learning and development:

• Connected with and contribute to their world
• A strong sense of well-being
• Confident and involved in their learning
• Effective communication skills

Our preschool incorporates the following valuable programs into your child’s education:

• Positive Living Skills Well being Program- This Program is focused on developing a child’s secure sense of self, building an awareness and skills to understand emotions and behaviours, and to form healthy and secure relationships while interacting appropriately with others.

 

• Munch & Move Healthy Living Program- This is an NSW Health initiative that supports the healthy development of children birth to 5 years by promoting physical activity, healthy eating and reduced small screen time (e.g. watching TV or DVDs, playing on computers and small hand-held games devices.

 

• Sustainability Program-We are committed to playing our small part in protecting the planet and caring for the environment for the sake of future generations. We have our very own scrap store, recycling program and worm farm.
